I’m alone today. It’s a day for me…and the washing and cleaning.
My daughter is getting older and dumped me to go to the flicks with her friends. I don’t begrudge it at all, I guess I find it hard letting her go as she grows.
Anyway, I just watched a film, I’d seen the first part of it before and disregarded it as toot! But today I kinda got into it and I’m glad I weathered the beginning to see the whole thing. All in all a good film.
At my age I still find I’m learning life’s lessons, some films do that to me, they stir my emotions and make me think, but it’s only when I’m alone and free to cry. Maybe one day free enough to eventually die.
Albert Finney, what an actor, and a film with another great cast in general.
The film?!! Big Fish.
In keeping with my promise on catching up on watching films I finally nailed another one, The Big Chill. An 80’s classic and apparently a cult film by cult standards.
I guess the film was ‘landmark’ in its day as it breached and teased boundaries on sex amd drugs. A great cast too but the film just didn’t do it for me, I think my expectation were a little too high. The music that they threw at it was wonderful but then I’ve always related more to music.
With all that said I’m glad I watched it, another one down way too many more to go.

That's exactly what I thought about it.
Didn't Kevin Costner play the dead guy in that? GREAT start to a career, mister! lol. I haven't seen this all the way through, and with your review I'm glad I didn't!
